Roughly 70% of damage to high-end carbon components like seat posts, handlebars, and stems happen when making adjustments without using torque measurement. With thru axles becoming more and more common, the original Crombie tool was due for a makeover. We took the piloting pin and plus-sized it to work with the 12mm thru axle fitment that is actually standardized. We make this version as a dual-sided tool with two S Group ends, one for thru axle wheels and the other for regular hubs. Bottom brackets have some of the highest torque specs of any component found on a bicycle. Despite this, some bottom bracket cups feature tool fittings that allow mere millimeters of engagement, which can be a problem when attempting removal or installation. The Italian Army Knife, a very SILCA take on the traditional multi-tool.
