The CX242 is a culmination of all of our experience, advanced materials, and shoe making techniques to make a shoe that offers the best fitting solution for hard to fit foot types. Made with a heat moldable heel counter and an uniquely designed upper that has enough adjustability to accommodate feet with any instep height or foot volume without sacrificing comfort. The CX242 was designed for those riders with foot issues such as bunions, deformation or extremely narrow feet who need a shoe that will not beat their feet up, giving the rider the endurance they need to stay on the bike. The upper has separated panels that allow for fine tuning the pressure and fit which also allows the upper to conform around sensitive and painful spots on the foot without the same level of constraint that is felt in traditional shoe uppers. CX/TX Competition Last – With a profile specifically designed for very high-cadence riding & higher pressure, our Competition last features a more curved profile than the Sport last. The main differences include increased toe pitch & heel lift, a tighter heel & a slightly wider ball girth to allow the foot to expand under high pedaling pressures. Lake Competition 100% Carbon Fiber Sole. Available in 3 hole cleat pattern. A 100% carbon fiber sole that creates a comfortable, lightweight and classy package. Fullgrain leather (White/Black and Black/Silver) or Clarino Microfiber (Matte Grey/Black and Reflective Silver/Grey) and NuFoam lining with Carbon fiber support panels, which help to maintain a secure fit while adding foot stability. The upper is segmented into 6 independent zones for the most flexible fit to accommodate narrow or wide feet as well as high instep and low instep feet. The moldable heel counter doubles the heel hold for a secure fit. Carbitex support panels offer additional support to enhance the closure. The Lake CX332 Road Shoe is a classic design with modern elements such as Dual BOA closure & a light weight carbon sole system. The CX332 also draws from the same Thermaform technology as found in the CX403. The Internal heel counter is heat moldable carbon that gives the option to better customize the heel hold. A secure heel hold will stabilize the foot and eliminate heel slip. A stable foot allows for more power transfer and less fatigue. Form fitting Natural leather upper in combination with the dual BOA closure system ensures that your foot will be secure without needing to over tighten the shoe. The CX332 utilizes Lake's patented double sole system. The inner sole is a semi flexible fiberglass platform that allows some flexibility at the ball of the foot where the foot tends to swell, and typically hot spots or numbness would occur. The inner sole is suspended over the outer rigid carbon sole. This system enables the CX332 to use an extremely stiff carbon outsole without sacrificing riding comfort. Exceptionally secure for hard riding/racing with enough room in the toe box to prevent binding when running up inclines or negotiating a hike-a-bike section. Designed for performance riding & racing. Outsole: Lake Competition 100% Carbon Fiber Sole with Mountain Competition real rubber sole with extended protection and ground stability. Upper: Helcor Abrasion resistant leather, Ecco Fullgrain leather, and Nufoam lining with Carbon fiber support panels which help to maintain a secure fit while adding foot stability. The Helcor abrasion-resistant leather is specifically designed to be extremely durable against rubbing, scrapes, and scuffing.
